Kuwait English School’s Experience of OTrackTuesday 20th February 2018
Kuwait English School (KES) is a large English Curriculum School based in Salmiya, Kuwait. They have approximately 1500 children in the Primary Department from KG to Year 6. The following has been written by Helen Searle who is the Headteacher of Preparatory Department and Infants at KES.
“So far, so good with OTrack”
We started using OTrack in September 2017 after having used a variety of in-house methods to record our Early Learning Development Matters, Goals and KPIs. Although previously, we were able to look at our data and simply analyse it, we were unable to do so in the depth that we felt necessary.
OTrack was recommended to us by a colleague in the school who had used OTrack in her school in the UK and after researching a number of other similar companies, we decided that OTrack provided us with what we needed and allowed for flexibility to suit our needs which are slightly different than a UK school.
We have been using OTrack for nearly two terms now and so far have been very impressed with how it has helped our recording and analysis of data. Teachers learnt how to use it quickly and are much more able to look at their children’s progress in more useful ways than previously through the variety of reports that it provides. The data has also been useful in parent meetings to reinforce discussions.
The initial demonstrations delivered by OTrack were very helpful and the training and customer support has been faultless despite the fact we have altered our KPIs a few times!
I am sure that as OTrack becomes even more embedded into what we are doing, we will find even more benefits of using it, particularly now that it can now link with our MIS.
